Housing For College, Success For Life
Our goal is to give students a positive college experience while also providing parents and guardians with everything they want from off campus housing near Michigan State University. This way, students live well in school and parents feel reassured. And because Hub On Campus East Lansing is located down the street from the university, your student retains a sense of on campus living while also learning to be independent and prepare for success after graduation.
About Our Student Housing
There are several highlights from our community. First is our fully furnished apartments, which feature high-quality versions of all the essentials, including custom-designed furniture, high-speed Internet, and stainless-steel appliances; we want your student to feel at home right at move-in. Second is our community amenities, which include a rooftop sundeck and pool, fitness center, and clubroom, and help to foster the right balance between school work and social life. And then there’s the peer-driven culture in our community, which is created organically by our residents and enables students to find the support they need.
Giving Parents Peace Of Mind
Security measures include a controlled access and key fob system, which runs throughout the building and amenities areas and limits entry to residents and people with authorization. The same electronic locking system is installed on the doors of apartments and bedrooms, thus ensuring every resident has personal privacy. For added security, we have restricted-access floors, which apply to our upgrade packages on rooms.
Fully Furnished Apartments
The days of assembling furniture with a miniature screwdriver and wrench are over, at least for our residents. We provide modern, custom-designed furniture throughout the living room, bedroom(s), and dining area. Internet, cable, and several utilities are included in the monthly installment payment. Plus, the integrated features are stylish and of premium quality, examples being designer cabinetry, quartz stone countertops, and ceramic bathroom tiles.
Living close to school reduces commute times and allows for additional studying and social activities that comprise a balanced college experience. Because we’re walking distance from MSU, residents have an array of options for how to travel to class — for example, we provide covered bike storage as well as parking for mopeds and vehicles. And if your student supports Spartan athletics, the football stadium is only minutes away.
Amenities are a hallmark of our student housing. From study rooms to a swimming pool, computers to a coffee bar, we have an array of community amenities that cater to the needs and passions of today’s students. But amenities aren’t only useful for activities related to work and play; they also have financial benefits — working out in our fitness center saves your student a gym membership, while each coffee from the coffee bar is money not spent at a local café.
Professional Management & Maintenance
Newer renters, in particular, benefit from a responsive landlord. Our professional management team works on-site and is also on-call 24-hours every day should a need arise outside of regular business hours. The same goes for our professional maintenance team, who respond promptly to requests easily made through the online portal system. So, no matter what situations your student encounters, we’re here to provide back-up and find solutions.
Individual Housing Contracts
Whether you plan to serve as the guarantor on the housing contract, or you’re just helping with the search for housing, our individual contracts will likely appeal to you. Instead of multiple roommates having one contract with shared responsibility, every student has an individual housing contract and rents by-the-room. This flexible system also means that securing housing for your student is easier during the rush before the semester, as you only have to find an available room rather than an entire apartment.
Not all students, let alone their parents or guardians, are comfortable finding roommates on the Internet. An easy solution is to choose student apartments with roommate matching. This free service uses answers to questionnaires to pair students of similar backgrounds, interests, and preferences. For residents who are new to East Lansing or even just moving off campus for the first time, roommate-matching can be a great way to meet like-minded individuals who very well could become lifelong friends.
