RECOMMENDATIONS

As a reminder, the CDC recommends several simple actions to help prevent the spread of respiratory diseases (such as Coronavirus), including:
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Avoid touching your face: eyes, nose, mouth and ears.
  • If you are sick or think you may be ill, stay home, avoid others you live with and clean any surfaces you might touch/infect. If you think you have Coronavirus symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath – please see: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/symptoms-testing/symptoms.html), please contact a healthcare professional immediately.
  • Cover your cough and/or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash and wash your hands immediately after.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or disinfectant wipe. Follow the CDC’s recommendations for using a facemask:
  • The CDC recommends that everyone wear a facemask to protect themselves and others from spreading respiratory diseases, including COVID-19.
  • Facemasks should be used by people who show symptoms of COVID-19 to help prevent the spread of the disease to others. Anyone with symptoms should seek medical care immediately.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
  • If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
  • Wash your hands with soap and water (when possible) or hand sanitizer if they are visibly dirty.
